Members of the National Guard, Reserve, and veterans have many resources available to them to assist in the search for employment. This section describes some of the specific programs designed to help veterans find meaningful, well-paying employment.

There are many different assistance programs offered to returning service members which fall under Federal and State sectors.

As an employer, you should know the benefits of hiring a veteran. Visit the "Why Hire a Vet" page for reasons why bringing a veteran onto your team can be benefical to you and your business.

  • Governor’s Proclaimation: April is Month of the Military Child

    Your military child can get a letter from the Governor and First Lady. The MDVA website will be open for families to request a letter signed by the Governor and First Lady for their military child, key word for the letter is 'Hero'.
