Dakota County Yellow Ribbon Network

Dakota County has stepped up to support Servicemembers and military families in many ways. Employees of the Dakota County Community Services Division hold a Memorial Day luncheon each May. The County Park and Recreation Department partnered with the Veterans Affairs hospital in Minneapolis to provide recreational equipment. For these accomplishments and several others, Dakota County was proclaimed a Yellow Ribbon County by Gov. Mark Dayton at a proclamation ceremony March 30, 2012.
