Forklift Operator Safety Training for Military Veterans When: Classes held monthly throughout 2013 Where: Toyota Lift of Minnesota, Brooklyn Park About: One-day certification course offered at no cost to veterans with a copy of their DD214. The class, which normally costs more than $280 and is required by some employers, runs from 4-6 hours and certifies participants in Classes 1 through 5 as forklift operators. Though the course does not guarantee proficiency in forklift operations, completion of the course will teach veterans basic forklift operations and safety. IT-Ready An innovative training program whose mission is helping individuals prepare for, secure and be successful in IT careers. Upon complettion of the 8-week training course, IT-Ready graduates are prepared to pass their CompTIA A+ Certification exams and become eligible for a 6-month paid apprenticeship ($15/hr) with a metro area employer partner.
