Inver Grove Heights Beyond the Yellow RibbonThe Inver Grove Heights Yellow Ribbon Network was formed to provide support to the local National Guard Armory and the military Servicemembers and families within the community. After providing support, donations and volunteers to multiple events, Inver Grove Heights was proclaimed Yellow Ribbon on Aug. 23, 2011.
Since being formed, the network hosted the State Recognized Annual Veterans Day Celebration for Minnesota and supported local families with lawn care, meals and coordination of home improvement services. Future activities include fundraising efforts through the River Heights Chamber of Commerce for the local Family Readiness Group and military families in need. Lastly, the Inver Grove Heights Network plans to connect deployed Servicemembers to school events through the taping and rebroadcasting of district functions.
