Beyond the Yellow Ribbon - Lake Elmo

Lake Elmo's first Yellow Ribbon project was to embark on a flag campaign as an initial form of awareness for the emerging network. They lined the street with flags of support for military families. Their efforts earned them Yellow Ribbon status on Sep. 22, 2010, after a proclamation by former Governor Tim Pawlenty and retired Minnesota Adjutant General Larry Shellito.
