Owatonna

It's the ability to respond to real life events that make Owatonna a strong cell in the Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Program. For its efforts, Owatonna was proclaimed Yellow Ribbon on Aug. 31, 2011.

The Owatonna Network has a dedicated phone line which is monitored 24 hours a day, responding to crisis situations. The committee also organizes helping hands in the community to provide child care, lawn mowing and snow removal. Owatonna also helped a Gold Star Family recover from flood damage. The network now meets every month, with 12 members and over 40 volunteers ready to help.
