Pine City area Yellow Ribbon CommunityPine City began the process of becoming a Yellow Ribbon City soon after being recognized by Central Minnesota's "Initiative Foundation" as the "Outstanding Community" in the region in 2009.
A year later, the Pine City Area Yellow Ribbon Community began with the support of the City Council and has expanded to include all key areas of the community. They were proclaimed Yellow Ribbon on Dec. 14, 2011, by Governor Mark Dayton and Minnesota Adjutant General, Maj. Gen. Richard C. Nash.
