Beyond the Yellow Ribbon - RosemountIn 2009, Rosemount began their quest to become a Yellow Ribbon Community by welcoming home the 34th Infantry Division. Now the Rosemount Yellow Ribbon Network regularly reaches out to Servicemembers and military spouses with support on the home front, resulting in the city being proclaimed Yellow Ribbon on Aug. 23, 2011.
The Rosemount committee brough the Yellow Ribbon presence to the Leprechaun Days Parade and partnered with the Rosemount VFW and the Eagan Yellow Ribbon Network to sponsor a steak dinner for Servicemembers about to deploy. The Rosemount Network also partners with the Rosemount High School to hold an annual recognition ceremony for those graduates entering the military.
