St. Paul Yellow Ribbon NetworkSt. Paul was one of five Yellow Ribbon Networks proclaimed Yellow Ribbon at the St. Paul Saints' Military Appreciation Night May 17, 2012.
St. Paul has a long standing history of supporting the state's military. Since 2004, their "Serving Our Troops" organization has united city restaurants to serve a steak dinner to thousands of Servicemembers and their families during deployments.
The steering committee has worked hard to coordinate and synchronize all community efforts in support of their local military. They have already utilized existing resources to assist an injured Servicemember with legal issues and have activated the Como Park Boy Scouts to help a military spouse with yard work.
In addition, the steering committee is in the process of planning an annual education and career fair to support Servicemembers and their families in achieving their life goals.
The St. Paul Yellow Ribbon Network Steering Committee holds quarterly meetings, starting July 2012, on the first Tuesday of the month at 8:30 a.m. at the Assumption Catholic Church in St. Paul.
