Winona Region

To help the many familes affected by deployment in the Winona Region, a Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Committee was formed to support Servicemembers and military families throughout the cities of Goodview, Lewiston, Minnesota City, Rollingstone, St. Charles, Utica, Winona and Winona County. The more than 67 members are involved in several activities including Support Our Troops in Winona, a two-day Family Preparation Academy and involvement with a deployment ceremony at the Winona County Fair. All this resulted in the Winona Region Network being proclaimed Yellow Ribbon on Aug. 31, 2011.

Future events include a welcome home ceremony in 2012, a Support Our Troops event in 2011 and the completion of a Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Winona Region website.
